The Problem
SimpleBooks was already the leading entrepreneurship media brand in Sri Lanka — but growth had plateaued. Production was reactive, not strategic. There was no competitor analysis feeding into topic selection, no structured edit framework, and no cross-platform distribution system to multiply each video's reach.
My Role
I owned the full content pipeline end-to-end — from ideation and competitive research all the way through to post-publish distribution and audience analytics. I built and managed the entire production system, not just one part of it.
The Insight
Most content operations treat each piece of content as a one-off event. What I built at SimpleBooks was a content machine — a repeatable, data-informed system where every decision from topic selection to thumbnail strategy was backed by competitive research and audience behaviour. One long-form recording session became a week of content across 5 platforms. This is exactly what I now build for founders and coaches who are too busy to manage content but too smart to stay quiet.
