The Problem
SimpleBooks was already the leading entrepreneurship media brand in Sri Lanka — but growth had plateaued. This YouTube growth case study outlines the content engine scaling strategy. Production was reactive, not strategic. There was no competitor analysis feeding into topic selection, no structured edit framework, and no cross-platform distribution system to multiply each video's reach.
My Role
I owned the full content pipeline end-to-end — from ideation and competitive research all the way through to post-publish distribution and audience analytics. I built and managed the entire production system, not just one part of it.
The Insight
Most content operations treat each piece of content as a one-off event. What I built at SimpleBooks was a content machine — a repeatable, data-informed system where every decision from topic selection to thumbnail strategy was backed by competitive research and audience behaviour. One long-form recording session became a week of content across 5 platforms. This is exactly what I now build for founders and coaches who are too busy to manage content but too smart to stay quiet.
