The Problem

SimpleBooks had two growing sub-brands — Loku Business (a Sinhala-language business education platform) and ShopBook (a finance management app for small businesses) — but no dedicated content system for either. Content was inconsistent, production was slow, and neither brand had a clear editorial identity separate from the main SimpleBooks channel.

My Role

I was brought in to manage the content pipeline for both sub-brands on top of the main SimpleBooks channel — handling research, scripting, team coordination, and publishing across all platforms whenever needed.

What I Did

  • Developed separate content strategies for each sub-brand, respecting their distinct audiences (Sinhala business learners vs. small business finance app users)
  • Conducted topic research and competitor analysis tailored to each brand's niche
  • Wrote scripts and coordinated production for both long-form and short-form content
  • Managed outsourced editors and designers for each brand separately
  • Handled publishing across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn for both brands
  • Maintained consistent posting schedules without sacrificing quality

The Results

  • Maintained consistent content output across 3 brands simultaneously without production breakdown
  • Built separate editorial identities for Loku Business and ShopBook that felt distinct from the main channel
  • Kept daily short-form publishing running across all platforms for both sub-brands
  • Demonstrated that a single well-structured content system can scale across multiple brands

The Insight

Running content for one brand is hard. Running it for three simultaneously — with different audiences, different tones, and different platforms — requires a system that doesn't depend on inspiration. It depends on process. This is exactly why my clients don't just get content — they get a documented, repeatable machine that works whether I'm at my desk or not.
